A combined interest of adventure, hiking and travelling. Capturing the journey to remote, harsh and often spectacular locations. We get opportunities to pass through areas of vast beauty yet we don’t get time to stop and really absorb where we are. These paintings capture these moments and the journey required to pass through these isolated landscapes. We can’t survive in these locations but we can certainly recall how we felt as we stumbled through. This memory does fade but these paintings attempt to capture these moments.

The light, the space, being able to see the horizon, the variety of shapes, lines and colours. How small we feel.
